Detailed Itinerary

Day 1

Origin City - Luxor - Nile Cruise

Departure from the city of origin on a special flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, we will transfer directly to the cruise ship and enjoy a picnic-style dinner in the cabin. Overnight on board the cruise ship.

Day 2

Luxor - Esna - Edfu - Nile Cruise - Full Board

After breakfast, our first stop will take us to the burial site in the famous Valley of the Kings and the Theban Necropolis, where the famous tomb of Tutankhamun is located. Afterwards, we will visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, dedicated to the only woman who ruled Egypt, who, interestingly, wore a beard to appear as a pharaoh. Next, we will see the Deir El Bahari temple and the impressive Colossi of Memnon. We continue the tour to the second most visited site in Egypt, the religious complex of Karnak and its temples, one of the places of greatest historical value in the country. This is due to the way it was built, starting with the central sanctuary and then expanding to the outer areas. Since the Temple of Luxor is dedicated to the god Amun-Ra, god of creation and the sun, many pharaohs expanded it with new monuments to honor the main deity of the Egyptian pantheon. Finally, we return to the cruise ship to sail towards Esna. Lunch and dinner on board the cruise.

Day 3

Esna - Edfu - Kom Ombo - Aswan - Nile Cruise - Full Board

After breakfast, we will begin the day with a visit to the Temple of Edfu, dedicated to the god Horus, one of the best-preserved temples in the country. It is the second largest temple in Egypt, surpassed only by the Temple of Amun-Ra in Karnak. Later, we will continue sailing to reach the Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to Sobek, a god with the head of a crocodile and a human body, located on the banks of the Nile. Lunch and dinner on board the cruise ship.

Day 4

Aswan - Abu Simbel - Nile Cruise - Full Board

We arrive in Aswan early in the morning to visit the magnificent Abu Simbel temples. This complex includes the temple of Pharaoh Ramses II and the temple of Nefertari, his favorite wife. Both temples were dismantled and rebuilt at a higher location due to the construction of the Aswan High Dam. Later, we will enjoy a ride on a traditional Egyptian sailboat called a felucca to end the day. Breakfast will be served as a picnic, while lunch and dinner will be on board the cruise ship.

Day 5

Aswan - Cairo - Domestic flight - Breakfast and Lunch

We will have breakfast and proceed with check-out. Afterwards, we will visit the Temple of Philae, dedicated to Isis, goddess of love, and considered one of the most beautiful and best-preserved temples in the country. It is located on a small island. After this unmissable visit, we will be transferred to Aswan airport for a flight to Cairo, followed by a transfer to the hotel. Lunch may be served on the cruise ship or as a picnic, depending on the scheduled flight time.

Day 6

Cairo - Giza Pyramids - Bed and Breakfast

After breakfast at the hotel, the first scheduled visit is the Pyramids complex of Cheops, Khafre, and Menkaure, the country’s main tourist attraction and one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. After visiting the pyramids, we will approach the famous Sphinx created by Pharaoh Khafre. It is a sculpture with the body of a lion and a human head, whose purpose was to guard the pyramids’ funerary complex, as well as to serve as a symbol of royalty. Once the visit to the Giza necropolis is completed, the excursion ends and we return to the hotel. Optional excursion available to the new Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM).

Day 7

Cairo - Free day - Bed and Breakfast

After breakfast, free day in Cairo or optional full-day city tour: Saqqara, the Citadel, the Coptic Quarter, and Khan El Khalili Bazaar, including lunch.

Day 8

Cairo - City of origin

Breakfast (picnic or buffet depending on flight schedule), transfer to the airport, and flight to Spain. End of our services.
